The start of the Business

Silkweb has been selling silk bedding since 2004 when it started selling silk duvets.  At the start Silkweb launched using products supplied by a third party but pretty soon realised that as the business grew it was restrained by supply issues so decided to approach Chinese silk manufacturers direct. As Steve the owner tells us, this was a difficult phase in establishing the correct specification for the products and the trust and quality required from the different suppliers.

In fact we went through several manufacturers until we have found the right suppliers who we now trust.

The result is that our products are made from the finest quality Grade A long strand mulberry silk and according to our specifications.

Prices and Quality

As a business we decided very early on to produce the best quality silk bedding. Rather than target volumes, we would target the top end of the silk bedding market and be proud to sell the best products in the UK. For example, our silk duvets are filled with the best quality long fibre Mulberry silk but also we case our silk duvets with luxury silk charmeuse rather than cotton. The reason is simple, we want the best product on the market!

Our silk bedding products also carry the OEKO-Tex Standard 100 quality mark.

Our main target audience is the UK so our goods are stored in the UK at our warehouse near Milton Keynes where pick and pack is performed. This ensures a fast delivery to our customers. But we also ship throughout the world and have distributors in Europe.

Silkweb is the trading name of Corelli Solutions Limited. We also operate a sister website that operates under PureSilkDuvet. Silkweb is our registered trademark.
